Martham village is approximately 1.5 miles on foot or by car. The village includes two Co-ops, a DIY, a chip shop, a Chinese takeaway, and various other amenities.
Potter Heigham staithe is 1 mile on foot or by boat. It includes Latham’s discount store (which includes a bakery counter and also stocks packaged food), a chip shop, and a cafe/ice cream shop.
Martham Boats offer a range of boats for hire.
Ross wildlife boat trips operate from the Martham Boats end of the footpath.
Martham Ferry offer day boat hire, and a small cafe serving coffee, cake and ice cream: the upstairs seating provides an excellent view over Heigham Holmes.
The Broads Authority operate many local attractions. Their annual newspaper, The Broadcaster, provides detailed listings of events from April-October.
If you are visiting during the winter, view the seal colony from Horsey or Winterton beaches.
