During your stay
The mains water and electricity should be on when you arrive.
Please check that the water heat is full before you first switch it on.
Please read the instructions carefully before using the toilet. Once the yellow light is showing, turn over the E sign on the front of the building (see below). Louise, the loo boat, will call in when she is next passing and empty the cesspit. Louise operates on Mondays and Thursdays from Easter until late October.
Rubbish is collected on Thursdays. Use the thick black bags for the dustbin. When it is full, or when you leave, turn over the R sign on the front of the building, and leave the bags on the veranda for easy collection by Louise. There is no recycling service, so please take any recyclable waste home when you leave.
The WIFI router is in the smaller bedroom, with network and password information displayed. If you have any problems using the WIFI, please contact Alison.
Cleaning supplies are variously located in the large cupboard, under the kitchen sink, and in the bathroom.
You are welcome to use the outdoor furniture (check the shed!) but take care if sitting directly on the grass: ant bites are common.
If you wish to use any of the boats, please check licensing requirements with Fran before your stay. Buoyancy aids are hanging above the coat hooks, and paddles etc can be found in the shed and/or indoor cupboard.
